George Trasak

June 19, 1926 — January 9, 2017

George Trasak, 90, of Abbeville, husband of the late Edna Berry Trasak, died Monday, January 9, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Skillman, NJ to the late Daniel Trasak and Marie Bubenecek Trasak. Mr. Trasak honorably served his country in the United State Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from FL Aerospace in Greenwood as a machinist. Mr. Trasak attended St. Mark United Methodist Church in Greenwood. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Causley; a granddaughter, Sandy Arnold; three brothers, Danny, Charlie and Eddie Trasak; and a sister, Florence Young. Mr. Trasak is survived by a son David Trasak and his wife, Robbie of Greenwood; three daughters, Sue Ann Beasley and her husband, James of Abbeville, Nonie Lund and her husband, Matt of Cross Hill and Linda Barbour and her husband, Frank of Abbeville; two sisters, Elsie Reed of New Jersey and Helen Elkington and her husband, Bob, of Conway; ten grandchildren, Crystal Beasley, Aubree Beasley, Tiffani Beasley, James Beasley, Jr., Kinsley Trasak, Sheila Lagreca, Kenny Arnold, Jr., Lori Gates, Andrew Lund, and Amanda McDonald; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 1:00PM – 2:00PM, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville. Funeral services will begin at 2:30PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor John Elmore, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with military honors. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646; or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
