Helen Lucinda Wilson Pruitt Mills

Helen Lucinda Wilson Pruitt Mills, 87, of the Antreville Community died Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at her home with her family by her bedside. She was born in Abbeville to the late Robert Talmadge Wilson and Ethel Hall Wilson. Mrs. Mills was twice married, first to the late Robert ‘Bobby’ Eugene Pruitt, Sr., then to the late Henry ‘Grady’ Mills.

She was employed with Mohawk Industries and retired after 36 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Mills enjoyed being pampered, shopping and spending time with her special grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her vivacious personality was evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Lynn Pruitt and Wilson Boyd Pruitt; five brothers, Talmadge, Pete, George, Randolph and Dan Wilson and three sisters, Louise, Barbara Ann and Bonnie Lou.

Mrs. Mills is survived by her children, Gloria Pruitt Rankin (Bill) of Anderson, Robert ‘Gene’ Eugene Pruitt, Jr. (Glenda) of Abbeville County and Tina Pruitt Strawhorn (Jason) of Abbeville County; ten grandchildren, Kitt, Leigh, Jennifer, Marnie, Rob, Lauren, Brandon, Katie, Brady and Ashley; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and another on the way.

Graveside services will be 11:00AM, Friday, July 10, 2020 in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Bryan McClain officiating.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Tina Strawhorn.
