Hubert T. "Tom" Altman Jr.

Hubert Thomas 'Tom' Altman, Jr., 69, of Greenwood, husband of Janice Laughlin Altman, died Saturday, April 2, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Vaucluse, SC to the late Hubert T. and Mary Katherine West Altman, Sr. Mr. Altman was a graduate of Walker High School in Jasper, Ala. He was a retired high voltage electrician and an avid sports fan and animal lover. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Altman, niece Kristie Gregory, a nephew Jason Gregory and a very special friend, his pet Sassy. Mr. Altman is survived by his wife Janice of 20 years; three daughters, Andrea Nuss (Mark) of Jasper, Alabama, Kacie Coleman of Lakeland, Florida and Melissa Leroy (Robert) of Greenwood; a son, Roger G. Laughlin of Greenwood; a sister, Mary Lee Gregory of Aiken; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three special sisters-in-law who assisted in his care, Darlene Landing, Wanda Moore, and Kimberly Bagwell all of Greenwood also many extended family members and friends. A service to celebrate Tom's life will be 2:00PM Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Living Water Tabernacle Church in Greenwood.
