Imogene Scoggins, 89, of Lowndesville, wife of the late James W. ‘Jimmy’ Scoggins, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Rainey Hospice House. She was born in Anderson to the late Alex and Lessie Tyner Greenway.
Mrs. Scoggins retired from the Bigelow-Sanford/ Rocky River Mill with over 30 years of dedicated service. Cooking, canning, spending time with her family and being married to her late husband, Jimmy, for 69 years brought her much joy throughout her life. She was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Truman Greenway, and two sisters, Ruth Maddox and Frances Hawkins.
Mrs. Scoggins is survived by her three sons; Jimmy Lynn Scoggins (Cindy), Randy Scoggins, and Ricky Scoggins; grandchildren, April and Natalie; great-grandchildren, Machaela and Micah.
Funeral services will be 3:00PM, Monday, June 28, 2021 at Smyrna United Methodist Church with the Rev. Daniel Fortney, Rev. Scotty Willoughby, and Rev. Sam Thomason officiating.
The family is at their respective homes.
