Irabeth Crosby Kidd, 86, of Calhoun Falls, wife of the late Albert Marcus ‘A.M.’ Kidd, Jr., died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at NHC Healthcare, Greenwood. She was born in Waycross, GA to the late Lucious Crosby and Gaynelle Shadron Crosby. Irabeth was a valuable employee of Flexible Technologies and retired after more than 25 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Holiness Church and the ladies auxiliary. Irabeth was a gracious southern lady, family and community oriented, active in the Eastern Star and a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed life, extensive travel, entertaining and gardening. Irabeth leaves to her family a legacy of caring, love and faith. Lessons taught to her family shall be a continuous guide throughout their lives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Winnie C. ‘Winkie’ Todd. Irabeth is survived by her children, Marcia Elaine Barrett (Marty), Albert Marcus ‘Mark’ Kidd, III (Sheri), Beth Betrice Kidd, and John Scott Kidd; a sister, Dorothy S. ‘Dot’ Mitchell; and loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As an expression of heartfelt love, an exceptional, unique Celebration of Irabeth’s Life will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at her residence, 316 Mud Creek Road, Calhoun Falls, SC 29628.
