Ja'Laya Arielle Bryant

Ja’Laya Arielle Bryant, aged 22 months, passed gently into the arms of Jesus on Sunday July 30, 2023.  She is the daughter of Jordan Donaldson and Patrick Bryant, both of Calhoun Falls, SC.

Loved deeply by many before she was born, her parents were very excited to bring a ray of sunshine into this world. Ja’Laya loved to jump jump, play outside, and be held close by her parents and grandparents. She was so gentle; always saying “awwwwhhhhh” and giving you a big hug. Ja’Laya was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by maternal grandparents, Hope Mobley (Morrices) and Lamont Donaldson (Patrina); maternal great grandparents, Robert and Louise Donaldson, Marsha Putnam; paternal grandparents, Francis Rome (Stanley); paternal great grandmother, Thelma Bryant; aunts, Jayda Greene, Le’Asia Donaldson, Trinity Donaldson, and Brittany Thurmond; uncles, Jonah Wilson, Tyler Donaldson, Brandon Thurmond, and Rashaad Thurmond; and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ja’Laya was preceded in death by her great-great grandparents, Jeweline and Earl Putman; grandfather, John Patrick Bryant; and great-grandfather, John Thomas Bryant.

The viewing will be Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Northside Baptist Church, Calhoun Falls.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Joseph Cade officiating.
