James Edward Brown Sr.

James Edward Brown, Sr., 67, of 62 Pine St. Great Falls, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at his home. He was born in Chester to the late Oscar E. and Ruth Hall Brown. Mr. Brown was an electrician with the Monsanto Plant in Greenwood for many years; he served in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his brother, William O. Brown and his step-mother, Grace Brown. Surviving Mr. Brown are two sons, James E. Brown, Jr. of Chester, and Cari Brown of Winston, GA, two daughters, Susan Mundy of Abbeville, and Sherry Ponder of Winston, GA, a sister, Betty Brown Fuller of Abbeville, and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:30PM Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Harris Funeral Home. Graveside services are at 3:00PM Wednesday, April 5, 2006 in Long Cane Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Mr. Browna?(TM)s sister, Ronnie and Betty Fuller 602 Church St. Abbeville, SC. Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of ones choice.
