James 'Jim' Lewis Hatley, Jr.

James L. ‘Jim’ Hatley, Jr., 82, of Calhoun Falls, husband of the late Carol ‘Joyce’ Partridge Hatley, died Friday, August 4, 2023, at his home.  He was born in Greenville, SC to the late James Lewis Hatley, Sr. and Lilly Inez Foster Nelson.

A graduate of Parker High School in Greenville, SC, Jim began his career as an electrician with West Point Stevens, retiring after many years of service.  Outside of work, he had various hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy.  Jim had a passion for fishing and hunting, spending countless hours in nature appreciating its beauty.  Additionally, he had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to his garden.  Jim was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

He is survived by two sons, David Hatley (Crystal) of Pelzer, SC and Michael Hatley of Greenville, SC; a daughter, Nicole Fleniken (Stephen) of N. Augusta, SC; a sister, Judy Osteen of Piedmont, SC; and a grandson, Johnathon Morris.
