James Vernon Jordan Rev.

Rev. James Vernon Jordan, 81, of Abbeville, husband of Mary Bradshaw Jordan, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. He was born in Honea Path, SC to the late James H. and Helen Hill Jordan. Rev. Jordan served in the ministry for almost his entire life having pastored for 40 years serving four different churches. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Rev. Jordan had a passion for ministry and pastoring people. He will be fondly remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and pastor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Ray Jordan. Rev. Jordan is survived by his wife of 59 years of the home; a daughter, Pam J. Baughman and her husband Bill of Abbeville; a son, Tony Jordan of Abbeville; two brothers, Morris Jordan of Honea Path and Charles D. Jordan of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Brandy Bell (Jason), John W. Baughman, III (Ali) and Samantha J. Clinkscales (Jordan); five great-grandchildren, Christian, John William IV, Khloe, Gavon and Ashton. Graveside services will be 3:00PM Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Robbie Burton and Rev. Chad McNeece officiating. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Baughman on Chestnut St. in Abbeville. Memorial contributions, in memory of Rev.
