James Earl Lockey

James E. Lockey, 85, of Abbeville, died Friday, April 5, 2024 in Greenwood, SC. He was born in Robeson County, North Carolina to the late Willie and Florence Lowery Lockey. 

Mr. Lockey graduated from McColl Fletcher Memorial Highschool and retired after many years with Professional Towel Mill in Abbeville, SC. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his dogs and taking afternoon drives. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kandace Lewis and three brothers, Wilbert, Will and Clifford Lockey. 

Mr. Lockey is survived by his daughter, Lettie L. Lewis (Kent) of Abbeville; two grandchildren, Jamie Lewis (Gina) and Deanna Lewis; five great-grandchildren, Kayson, Isabella, Hayden, Mason and Jaxon. 

All services will be private in North Carolina.
