Janet J. Price

Janet J. Price, 97, formerly a resident of Calhoun Falls, wife of the late Thomas Watson Price, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at NHC Healthcare of Anderson. She was born in Elberton County, Georgia to the late Benny Franklin and Minnie Lee Wansley Johnson. Mrs. Price lived all of her adult life in Calhoun Falls. She retired from Burlington Industries with over 35 years of service. Mrs. Price was a charter member of Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served for 70 years and was involved with the Women's Auxiliary. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ione J. McClain and Rebecca J. McClain and two brothers, Carlton Johnson and Raymond Johnson. Mrs. Price was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her niece and god-daughter, Janet M. Tabor and her husband Bud and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 1:00pm – 2:00pm, Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Harris Funeral Home – Calhoun Falls Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:30pm in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Scott Propes officiating.
