Jeane C Campbell

Jeane Cartledge Campbell, 82, of Abbeville, died Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at her home.  She was born in Columbia to the late Samuel B. Cartledge, Jr. and Jeanette Watts Cartledge.

A 1959 graduate of Dreher High School in Columbia, Jeane attended Converse College and Lander University.  She was employed with Flexible Technologies for two years.  Jeane had a zest for life and traveled the world.  She dedicated most of her professional career to helping others discover the wonders of the world as a Travel Agent in Greenwood for years before retiring.  Jeane also participated in many organizations related to travel. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

Jeane is survived by her two sons, Tom Nickles (Mary Ann) and Will Nickles, all of Abbeville; brother, Sammy B. Cartledge, III of Columbia; sister, Diane Rawl Cartledge of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Cameron, Madde, Ashlann and Thomas; and a great-grandchild, Skyla.

A celebration of Jeane’s life will be Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Belmont Inn in Abbeville from 3:00PM - 5:00PM.   This gathering will be filled with stories, laughter and heartfelt remembrances as we honor and celebrate Jeane’s life.
