Jeanette Sentell Templeton, 68, of Abbeville, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Sunday, February 23, 2025, at her sister’s home. She was born in Abbeville to the late Alvin L. and Ruby Mae DeVall Sentell.
Jeanette attended Abbeville High School and Piedmont Technical College. She retired after more than 20 years as a Title Clerk for George Ballentine Ford in Greenwood. Jeanette enriched her life with a variety of hobbies. She enjoyed bowling and often spent days shopping; however, her greatest passion was spending cherished moments with her grandchildren. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Jeanette was a faithful member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dacota Branyon.
Jeanette is survived by her two daughters, Tonya Edmunds of Iva and Terri Richey (Gabe Lukie) of Greenwood; four sisters, Deborah Joyner (Gene) of Tryon, NC, Patricia Richey Owens (Norman) of Abbeville, Susan Whennen (Bob) of Conyers, GA and Carolyn Johnson (Ricky) of Abbeville; and four grandchildren, Paige Barnett, Nicholas Richey, Briana Richey and Samantha Richey.
A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held at Rice Memorial Baptist Church at a time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions, in memory of Jeanette, be sent to Rice Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 1975 SC-72, Greenwood, SC 29649.
The family is at the home of her sister, Patricia and Norman Owens in Abbeville.
