Jerry Kenneth Brown

Jerry Kenneth Brown, 76, affectionately known as ‘Dog’, husband of the late Lola Ann Campbell Brown, died Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the Abbeville Area Medical Center.  He was born in Abbeville to the late Edgar Clayton Brown, Sr . and Ada Lou Dawkins Brown.

Jerry attended Abbeville High School.  He had a passion for electrical gadgets and was employed with Flexible Technologies where he dedicated over four decades of his life’s work, retiring as an electrical technician.  Riding motorcycles, especially with his late wife, was one of his favorite hobbies. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; his memory will live on in their hearts. He was a quiet and profound man and will be remembered as one who lived life on his own terms.  Jerry was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Clayton Brown, Jr. and an infant sister, Virginia Lou Brown.

Jerry is survived by his son, Jerry Kenneth Brown, Jr.; daughter, Melissa Jo Brown Price (Clint); two sisters, Gloria Brown Evans Campbell and Barbara Brown Crawford; six grandchildren, Jerry James ‘JJ’ Brown, Jeremy Kenneth Brown, Cody Kenneth Brown, Coleton Link Price, Kylee Jo Price and Cooper Thomas Price; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ananni and Lola; and many treasured nieces and nephews.

An opportunity to greet friends, family and share memories will be held between the hours of 4:00PM and 5:30PM, Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 123 Beltline Road, Abbeville, SC.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Jerry, may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
