Jerry C Dutton

Jerry C. Dutton, 71, of Elberton, GA, husband of Dianne Scott Dutton, died Monday, July 19, 2021 at Anmed Health Medical Center in Anderson. He was born in Royston, GA to the late Edgar and Mamie Boles Dutton.

Mr. Dutton and his wife owned and operated S & D Vases in Elberton for many years. A part owner and driver of race cars, he was an avid race car fan. Mr. Dutton enjoyed spending time by the pool with his family and friends, especially his great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, J.C. Dutton, Amos Dutton and James Dutton; two sisters, Kathleen Grizzle and Ruby Nell House; and a son-in-law, Jeff McKellar.

Mr. Dutton is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dianne; four children, Juanita ‘Nita’ Cooper (Ron), Regina McKellar, Tammy Hall (Buddy) and Anthony ‘Tony’ McCall (Buffy); three sisters, Dorothy Rousey, Lillian Wilson and Geneva Grimes; two brothers, Garrison Dutton and Charles Dutton; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 1:00PM - 2:30PM, Thursday, July 22, 2021 in Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Mr. Dutton, may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
