John Michael Crawford, 83, of Aiken, SC, husband of Joyce Stokes Crawford, died Thursday, December 30, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Vandalia, Illinois to the late Harold and Tillie Crawford.
A graduate of Vandalia High School and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, Mr. Crawford was employed at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC as a lead chemist, retiring after many years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce, of the home; two daughters, Sherry Ingerto of Greenwood, SC and Tami Crawford of Charleston, SC; granddaughter, Kristen Herring (Ryan Chavis) of Abbeville, SC; and three brothers.
Graveside services will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in Long Cane Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, in memory of Mr. Crawford, may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
