John Robert Timmerman

John Robert Timmerman, 44, of Abbeville, husband of Pam Slay Timmerman, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born in Abbeville to Ermie Richey Lewis and the late Robert Henry Timmerman. Robert was a 1988 graduate of Abbeville High School and currently employed with Crown Casting in Hodges. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Clinton Masonic Lodge #3 Abbeville, and a dedicated member of the Hardwood Cruisers of Donalds, SC. Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by everyone that came in contact with him. Known for his great outlook on life, he believed in living it to the fullest. In addition to his dad he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Alan Timmerman. Surviving Robert are his wife of 26 years Pam 'Hamma' of the home; three lights in his life, Samantha 'Toot' Timmerman, SaraClayton 'Shug' Timmerman (Michael) and Kendall 'Sassy' Timmerman; his mom, Ermie; a sister, Kristi Lynn Starks (Tino); granddaughter, Rylee Elisabeth Tiller; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tommy and Susan Slay all of Abbeville and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 4:00PM Monday, July 7, 2014 in Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jason Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Hardwood Cruisers as escorts. The family is at the home of Samantha Timmerman.
