Juanita Collins Simpson

Juanita Collins Simpson, 85, of Greenwood, SC wife of the late James Marion Simpson, died Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Ansley Glenn in Greenwood, SC. She was born in Greenville, SC to the the late Johnny R. and Frances Inez Collins. 

Mrs. Simpson was a member of Woodfields Baptist Church. She spent many years working at Lifetime Discoveries as an infant care giver. Mrs. Simpson found great joy spending time with her family, her grandchildren and friends. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was proceeded in death by a brother, John Ross Collins and a sister, Rebecca Sellars. 

Mrs. Simpson is survived by her son, Jimmy Simpson and his wife, Angie of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Rev. Steve Simpson (Alex), Kyle Simpson (Morgan), Katelyn Arledge (Sean), and Carson Simpson (Maggy); seven great grandchildren, Eli, Addelyn, Braelyn, Abigail, Naomi, Brendon and Tatum.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Woodfields Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 3:00pm on Thursday in the church sanctuary with Rev. Steve Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem ARP Church Cemetery, 3486 Hwy 20 Due West, SC. 

The family is at the home of Jimmy and Angie Simpson.
