Judy Gloria Gilmer Wiley

Judy Gilmer Wiley, 79, of Abbeville, wife of the late Jodie A. ‘Junebug’ Wiley, Jr., died Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. She was born in Abbeville to late Ralph and Jessie Estelle Norrell Gilmer.

Mrs. Wiley attended Abbeville High School and later embarked on a dedicated career. She worked diligently for numerous years at the Abbeville Milliken Plant and the Abbeville Shirt Plant. In her later endeavors, she devoted her time to serving in food services at both the Abbeville Nursing Home and the Renaissance Assisted Living. Mrs. Wiley was blessed with a faith-filled life as a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Wiley is her son, Mark Wiley (Dana); two granddaughters, Hannah Davis (Andy) and Keri Young (Seth); five great-grandchildren, Claire, Peyton, Grayson, Christina and Tinsley all of Abbeville. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Durand Hall officiating. Burial will be in Long Cane Cemetery. 

The family is at the home of Mark and Dana Wiley.
