Karma Jo Weiers

Karma Jo Thomas Weiers, age 77, of McCormick, SC, (Savannah Lakes Village), beloved wife of Richard Lee Weiers, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 2, 2025. She was born in Greenville, Michigan, to the late William R. and Cecile Noah Thomas.

Mrs. Weiers was a proud graduate of Central Montcalm High School, class of 1965, and earned her associate degree in nursing from Muskegon Community College. Throughout her career, she served as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in various specialties, with a particular focus on family practice. Additionally, she contributed her skills as an office manager. After relocating to Savannah Lakes, Mrs. Weiers continued her dedication to nursing by providing services at the McCormick Family Practice. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church by the Lake.

In her personal life, Mrs. Weiers found joy in golfing, playing cards, and cherishing moments with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Rick, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years; a son, Ryan W. Weiers (Sara) of Charlotte, NC; and two cherished grandchildren, Asher and Maren Weiers.

Mrs. Weiers is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard L. Thomas and Gary Alan Thomas.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Weiers will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Lutheran Church by the Lake, officiated by Rev. Greg Van Dyke and Rev. Jim Kinsler. The family invites friends to gather following the service in the Ark to honor her memory.
