Katherine Wing Bergeron

Katherine Wing Bergeron, 86, of Donalds, SC, formally of Richford, VT, wife of the late Norbert Bergeron, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC. She was born in Richford, VT to the late Harold G. and Juliette L. Smith Wing. Mrs. Bergeron and her husband were in the dairy and logging business for many years. They restored homes and served other by operating a Community Care Home. Mrs. Bergeron served on the school and zoning boards in Vermont, was a 4-H Leader and an avid dancer. She and her husband retired to Florida and were residents there for 20 years before moving to Alabama and eventually South Carolina. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abbeville. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law Jilda Jo and Danny Vermillion; and a granddaughter, Courtney McGaha. She is survived by her two daughters, Polly Gendron and her husband Leo and Jennifer Tessier and her husband Dale both of Donalds, SC; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Shannon, Katie, Kailey, Matthew, Abbey and Amber; three great-grandchildren, Charli, Jaidynn and Zane. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home with a Rosary Prayer service to be recited at 7:30PM. A Rite of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, February 19, 2015 beginning at 12:00Noon with the Rev. Father Robert J. Sayer officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Richford, VT in the Richford Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Bergeron may be sent to the Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W.
