Katherine T. Makarski, 59, of Lincolnton, GA, wife of Robert Makarski, Sr., passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 from an unforeseen medical condition at Doctor's Hospital of Augusta, GA. She was born in Cherry Point, NC to the late John F. and Elaine Barry O'Meara. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael O'Meara. Kathy was a graduate of Randolph High School, Class of 1974. She dedicated her life to her family and others. Kathy spent her lifetime doing God's work: educating children in the teachings of the Lord, and through caring for the sick and elderly. She found contentment and solace through her compassionate service. Kathy walked proudly with the Lord for she knew He had her footsteps. She was the person who could make a house a home, her joy and happiness would light up any room and her laughter could improve anyone's day. Our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend will be forever missed. Our lives are better for having known her and will always have a void due to her absence. We can all take comfort in knowing that the Lord will have and keep her. She will continually be loved and cherished. Kathy is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of nearly 41 years, Robert Makarski, Sr. and their three children, Kim Ferbert (Justin), Bobby Makarski (Shelley), and Danny Makarski (Liz); two brothers, Chris O'Meara and John O'Meara; five sisters, Elizabeth O'Meara, Mary Ellen Civita, Karen Donaldson, Elaine Siroonian, and Linda O'Meara; and six beloved grandbabies, Erin, Justin, Jr., Riley, Danny Jr, Avery, and Mackenzie. A Memorial Mass will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2016, in Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Robert J. Sayer officiating.
