Kathy Bergeon, 71, of Waterloo, wife of the late Charles Daniel Attaway, Sr., died Saturday, June 12, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Greenwood to the late Marshall James and Roxie Juanita Smith Cobb.
A devoted homemaker, Kathy attended Greenwood High School and was employed in textiles. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Kathy was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lila Dow.
Kathy is survived by two sons, Ronald Locklear of Forrest City, NC and Danny Attaway (life partner, Matt) of Hodges; two daughters, Pam Noffz (Michael) of Bradley and Angie Boiter (Steve) of Waterloo; two brothers, Jack Cobb of Hodges and James Cobb of Virginia; four sisters, Martha Hyde (Billy) of Hodges, Maureen Murray (Cleave) of Ninety-Six, Ruby Erskine of Greenwood and Dale Schuch (Jim) of Starr; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00PM, Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel with Rev. Randy Ouzt officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
