Lane Hill

Irle Lane Hill, 61, of Abbeville, husband of Catharine Hiott Hill, died Monday, February 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK, to the late Alan B. and Nona Maden Hill.

Lane was previously employed with Walmart in Mt. Pleasant, SC. An enthusiastic collector of various items, he especially enjoyed his car collection. Lane was a fun-loving gentleman who had a boisterous personality and never met a stranger. He worshipped at New Covenant Church in Greenwood.

In addition to his parents, Lane was preceded in death by a brother, James Hill and a sister, Neoma Marie Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Catharine, of 24 years; a son, William Lane Hill (Terri) of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Mikayla Lane Hill (Jacob) of Myrtle Beach; three brothers, Alan Hill, II (Josephine) of Bonneau, SC, Wesley Hill (Jennifer) of Evansville, IN and Johnny Hill (Tae) of Harker Heights, TX; stepmother, Fran Hill of Cabot AR; brother-in-law, Dale Baker of Albuquerque, NM; and a granddaughter, Danielle Grace.
