Lawrence A. ‘Larry’ Milliron, 89, of the Savannah Lakes Community, husband of the late Esther F. Heider Milliron, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont Hospice House in Greenwood. Larry was born June 29, 1935 in McKean County, PA to the late Lawrence Luke Milliron and Laura Louise Fowler Milliron.

Following graduation from Bradford High School, he joined the United States Air Force in March 1955. He trained as a pilot at the Marianna Air Base in Florida and served his country for two years. In 1958, Larry married Esther F. Heider and relocated to Ohio where his corporate career began with AT&T, retiring after more than 30 years of dedicated service. During that time, Larry and his wife reared their four boys at Hide-Away Hills. 

In 1999, Larry and Esther relocated to the Savannah Lakes Community to enjoy retirement with several old friends and many new ones. Following retirement, he was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, building several houses in his community, thereby enhancing the lives of those around him. Larry was also passionate about various hobbies that brought him joy and allowed him to spend quality time with friends. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, traveling and sharing laughter and creating lasting memories with those who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his wife and parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Timothy D. Milliron; sister, Carol Clark; and brothers, Michael James Milliron and Phillip Milliron.

Larry is survived by his sons, Lawrence W. Milliron, Joseph A. Milliron and Michael M. Milliron (Josh Beheler Milliron); and brother, Gary L. Milliron (Debbie Butters Milliron).

Inurnment for Larry and his wife, Esther, will take place at a later date in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions, in memory of Larry, may be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
