Leander N. Miller

Leander N. Miller, 82, husband of Anna (Schwartz) Miller, passed away on August 4, 2006 at his residence at 78 Cochran Rd. Abbeville. He was born in Hartville, OH, to the late Nathaniel J. and Elizabeth (Hostetler) Miller. He was a member of Whispering Pines Mennonite Church and retired as a mason. Surviving Mr. Miller is his wife of the home, eight sons, Mike Miller and his wife Esther of Cochranton, PA., Rueben Miller and his wife Mary of Abbeville, SC., Lee Miller and his wife Delores, of Sarasota, FL., David Miller and his wife Diane of Westminster, SC., Larry Miller and his wife Ann of Sarasota, FL., Wayne Miller and his wife Monica of Sarasota, FL., Nathan Miller and his wife Dorcas of Cochranton, PA., and Dale Miller and his wife Ann pf Anderson, SC., four daughters, Susan (Slutzman) Miller and her husband Yost of Goshen, IN., Esther Miller and her husband Glen of Middlebury, IN., Ruth Miller and her husband Delbert of Centreville, Michigan, and Becky Mast and her husband John of Cleveland, N.C., one brother, Jonas Miller of Miffenburg, PA., one sister, Judy Sommers Overholt, of Minerva, OH., forty-three grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, twelve step-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 4:00PM & 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Whispering Pines Mennonite Church. Funeral services will be 10:30AM Sunday, August 6, 2006 in the church, conducted by Myron Mullet, Joe Hershberger, and Mike Gingerich. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Special Needs Fund at Whispering Pines Mennonite Church 7085 Hwy 20 Honea Path, SC 29654.
