Lee C. Williams, 83, husband of the late Carlis Davis Williams, of Abbeville died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson. He was born in Abbeville to the late Rev. Luther L. and Irene Reynolds Williams. Having served on the Abbeville City Council for 21 years, Lee was a dedicated public servant. He was a member of the Masonic Clinton Lodge #3, as well as South Side Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by three brothers, Homer Williams, Joe Williams and Hugh Williams and three sisters, Agnes Hammond, Gerene Hall, and Pauline Williams. He is survived by a daughter, Shirley Williams Booth, and her husband, Tony, of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Tonya Booth Branyon, and her husband, Dean, and T.J. Booth and his wife, Sherrie; and four great-grandchildren, all of Abbeville. Funeral services will be 11:00A.M. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
