Linda Brown Wideman

Linda B. Wideman, 75, of Abbeville entered into eternal life on October 27, 2024. She was born on June 24, 1949, in Abbeville to the late James W. Brown and Martha S. Brown.

Linda was a graduate of J.S. Wright High School, Class of 1967. She retired from Jockey International as a winder attendant. Linda loved her family, celebrating milestones and keeping family traditions alive. She was a member of Grace Chapel A.M.E. Church in Abbeville.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Susie S. Guillebeaux; two brothers, James A. Brown and Thomas J. Brown; grandson, Xavier Rollison; and niece, Felicia Guillebeaux.

She leaves to cherish her everlasting memories two daughters, Martha and Stacey Wideman, both of Abbeville; three sons, Arthur (Kimberly) Wideman, Martavis Wideman and Arthur Wideman, Jr., all of Abbeville; three sisters, Fannie B. (Henry) Dixon, Frances B. London, all of Abbeville, and Sarah B. Cartledge of Greenwood; brother, Robert (Evelyn) Brown of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Mylinda Martin, Tarcheece Anderson, Kimeya Isom and India Hackett; twelve great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews that truly loved her and will miss her.

The public viewing will be 4:00PM – 7:00PM, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Long Cane A.M.E. Church. Burial will follow in Harbison Cemetery.
