Lizzie M. Harris, 69, of Calhoun Falls, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Prisma Health, Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was born in Abbeville to the late Robert Harris, Sr. and Rosa Ella Thompson Harris.

Lizzie was a 1974 graduate of Calhoun Falls High School. She dedicated an impressive 46 years of her life to the Abbeville Area Medical Center, where she worked diligently making a lasting impact on all those she encountered. Described as kind, welcoming and the life of the party, Lizzie had an infectious laugh that could brighten anyone’s day. She was loved by many and leaves behind a legacy that will forever be remembered. Lizzie attended Springfield AME church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roosevelt Harris.

Lizzie leaves behind to cherish her memory, two brothers, Robert Harris, Jr of Atlanta, GA and LeRoy Harris of Columbia, SC; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Pitts of Piedmont, SC; a nephew, Benjamin Harris of Piedmont, SC; and many very special friends.

A celebration of Lizzie’s life will be held at 3:00PM, Friday, June 21, 2024, in the Harris Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Mitchell Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park, 3007 Hwy. 25N, Hodges, SC 29653. It was Lizzie’s request that everyone wear red – her favorite color.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Lizzie, may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646.
