Louise Phillips, 72, of Calhoun Falls, SC, formerly of LaGrange, GA, died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. She was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Hoke H. and Georgia Boyter Bratcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Winton Bratcher and a sister, Lois Bratcher. Mrs. Phillips was employed by the late Mr. Roger Milliken in LaGrange, Ga. She trained to become a dietician and served for many years as a chef at the Milliken & Co. Guest House in LaGrange. Mrs. Phillips was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a son, Maylon Phillips, Jr. (Tracy) of Centralhatchee, GA; four daughters, Vivian Smith (Barry), Ronda Bates (Ronnie), Teresa Baker, all of LaGrange, GA, and Darlene Cox (David) of Calhoun Falls, SC; two brothers, John Bratcher of Ninety Six, SC and Ray Bratcher of Greenwood, SC; three sisters, Jean Pressley of Byron, GA, Mae Pressley of Iva, SC, and Faye Brown or Waterloo, SC; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Service to Celebrate Mrs. Phillips Life will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel, with George Green officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be in Redoak Cemetery in Heard County, GA at a later date. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Cox in Calhoun Falls.
