Lousie Virginia Scurlocks Register, 67, of Iva, wife of Stanley Register, died Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in her home. She was born December 2, 1956, in Martinsville VA to the late Bobby Scurlock and Jane Aliff Scurlock.
Louise had a deep passion for reading, often found lost in the pages of a novel or a thought-provoking book that sparked her imagination. She delighted in cooking for her family and friends, creating dishes that brought everyone together. Louise's love for sewing reflected her creativity, producing many cherished handmade items that will be forever remembered. Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful garden, where she nurtured a variety of plants and flowers. Above all, Louise cherished her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to their happiness and well-being. The impact she made on their lives will resonate for generations to come.
In addition to her parents, Lousie was preceded in death by her brother, John Farmer.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Stanley; two sons, Nathan (Melissa) Register of Stuart VA, and James (Nicha Bruner) Register of Simpsonville SC; brother, William Scurlock of Greer SC; sister, Rebecca Russell of Martinsville VA; and ten grandchildren.
