A Celebration Service for the life of Louise Hill DuPre Seigler will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008, at 10:00 am at Lowman Home New Life Chapel, White Rock, SC with graveside and burial at Sharon United Methodist Church cemetery in Abbeville, SC at 3:00 pm. Mrs. Seigler went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 14, 2008. She was born June 5, 1918 in Abbeville, SC to the late Eva Louise Baker and Julius Hill DuPre. Mrs. Seigler graduated from Lander College. In 1940, Louise married Charles Edward Seigler. They raised their family in Anderson, SC where she was active in the garden club, teaching Sunday School, and working with the Scouts. Mrs. Seigler loved cooking, landscaping, flower arranging, playing cards and traveling. After the children were grown, the Seigler's lived in Destin, Fla., Highlands, NC, Wolfe Laurel, NC, and Abbeville, SC. Everywhere they went, they enjoyed friends and belonging to a Christian Church. Mrs. Seigler was preceded to Heaven by her husband, Charles, of 61 years and a grandson, Hill M. Seigler. Surviving Mrs. Seigler is her son Herbert Seigler and wife Kathy of Brea, CA; daughter Charlene Wells and husband William of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Payne Seigler and wife Elaine, Dede Wells Mitchell and husband Steve, and Billy Wells, Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren, Chase Seigler, Alexis Seigler, Cory Seigler, Emma Seigler and Stephen, Edward, and George Mitchell. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of the Lowman Home and Lutheran Hospice for their tender care.
