Luke Anthony Cicora, 102, of Due West, husband of the late Teresa Hahn Cicora, died Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Self Regional Healthcare. He was born in Auburn, NY to the late Ciali and Teresa Tata Cicora.
Mr. Cicora honorably served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated two grocery stores for a brief time, later retiring after 25 years as a fire dispatcher in Cayuga County, NY. Mr. Cicora enjoyed reading and completing crossword puzzles. He remained physically active, even in his later years, through golfing, dancing, and exercise. Mr. Cicora was most recently associated with Good Shepherd Catholic Church in McCormick.
In addition to his wife of 57 years, Teresa, and his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Patricia Galloway. Mr. Cicora was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by a son, Ted Cicora (Eileen) of Savannah Lakes; a daughter, Teresa Frolich (Gene) of Bethany, CT; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Short of Florida; his grandchildren, Lisa Cicora Riley, Tim Cicora, Jeff Cicora, Shel Frolich Tscherne, Grant Frolich and Kaitlyn Frolich; and great-grandchildren, Aidan and Ryan Riley, Bella Cicora, Grace and Emma Tscherne and Marc Cicora.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials, in memory of Mr. Cicora, are sent to the McCormick County Library, PO Box 1899, McCormick, SC 29835, the Sandy Branch Fire Department, 119 Holiday Rd., McCormick, SC 29835 or to the McCormick County Senior Center, 1319 S.
