Lula Mae Harris

Lula Mae Harris, 104, of Calhoun Falls, wife of the late Guy ‘Buster’ Harris, peacefully entered into eternal rest Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Abbeville Area Medical Center.  She was born in Evans, GA to the late Johnny and Annie Jeburk Glover.

Mrs. Harris retired from Calvin Klein Co. as a seamstress and was a devoted homemaker.  Throughout her life, she found joy in simple pleasures, such as fishing, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.  Mrs. Harris was a member of Brownoh AME Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, George, Joshua and Jim Harris; daughter, Traney Harris; granddaughters, Jimetria and Sallie Mae; grandson, Leon Davis; sisters, Rosa Lee, Mary Sue, Lizzie, Jennie and her brother, Aaron.

Mrs. Harris leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Nina Harris; two sons, Waymon and Charlie Harris, all of the home; daughter-in-law, Nina Lee Harris of Calhoun Falls; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends

The public viewing will be 2:00PM – 6:00PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel.  Funeral services will be 1:00PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Glover AME Church in Calhoun Falls with Rev. Joseph Cade officiating.  Burial will follow in Brownoh AME Church cemetery.
