Mable Scott Wilkerson, wife of the late T.R.Wilkerson, peacefully entered into heaven on May 31, 2015 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina surrounded by her family. She was born October 10, 1922 to Henry J Scott and Allie Mae Broadwell Scott in Iva, South Carolina. Mrs. Wilkerson was the current oldest member of Central Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia where she and her husband were actively involved for over 60 years. Prior to working with her husband at Anderson Auto Parts as office manager, she was involved in many community activities while raising her children. Both she and TR were involved in Bulldog Club, Coliseum Club, Georgia Motor Coach Club and numerous other Bulldog activities. At 92, she had on the red and black the day of the 2015 spring game and proudly let the people in South Carolina know that her heart was in Athens. She was known for her cooking and had many special recipes. In addition to her parents and husband of 63 years, she was preceded in death by six sisters. She is survived by her son, Tommy Wilkerson (Janette) Bluffton, South Carolina, her daughter, Pam Mahoney(Bill) Columbia, South Carolina, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held in the Due West ARP Church Cemetery in Due West, South Carolina on Friday, June 5 at 1 pm with the Rev. Dr. Joe Berry presiding. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 537 Long Point Rd #203, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 in honor of her great grandson, Austin Mahoney.
