Marcia G McCarty

Marcia Gail McCarty, 74, of Greenwood, peacefully passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. She was born in Greenwood to the late Wallace and Eleen Turner Fulmer. 

Ms. McCarty attended Greenwood High School. She dedicated 20 years of her professional life to Neptune before retiring from the Monsanto plant. Marcia had a passion for collecting items that brought her joy, including Barbie dolls, angels, and Beanie babies. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing bingo and cherished moments spent at the lake with her beloved family. Marcia was a devoted mother and family member, fully embracing her roles. She was of the Baptist faith and lived a life filled with love and dedication. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her cherished granddaughter, Mary Lane McCarty. 

Ms. McCarty is survived by her son, Rodney McCarty (Katie); sister, Rhonda Fulmer; granddaughter, Gracee McCarty; three nieces, Regina Boyd (Chris), Heather Beck and Crystal Simmons (Mitch); several great-nieces and nephews; and her special friend of more than 30 years, Danny Doolittle.
