Margaret H. Morrow, 88, of Abbeville, died Monday, January 30, 2012, at Hospice Care of the Piedmont, in Greenwood. Born Margaret Anne Hoover, she was the only daughter of six children of the late William Roy Hoover Sr. and Mary Flossie Oliver Hoover of Orangeburg, SC. After graduation from Orangeburg High School and a subsequent business course, she worked for an Orangeburg law firm. During WWII she worked at the Hawthorne Aviation School, a pilot training facility near Orangeburg. After the war she and her first husband Glenburn M. McGee, Sr. moved to Williston, SC., and raised their two sons. She later worked for Civil Defense in Barnwell County, and finally for the Bank of Williston until her retirement as teller and loan officer. An avid, lifelong bridge player, she belonged to numerous bridge clubs in Williston and enjoyed going back in recent years to visit and play with her many friends there and with her new neighbors and friends in Abbeville, where she played with her special Sunset Drive Bridge Club. A devout Christian, Margaret was of the Methodist faith, was active in her church circles, and remained a member of the Williston United Methodist Church until her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers; her first husband Glenburn Murray McGee, Sr.; her second husband TC Morrow; and her youngest son William S. (Bill) McGee. She is survived by her eldest son Glenburn M. McGee (Caroline Gilchrist McGee); three granddaughters Chellie McGee Amagliani (Michael), Bluffton, SC, Ashley McGee (Daniel Renew), Williston, SC and Crystal McGee (Markell Kistler), Columbia, SC; and 6 great-grandchildren, Cullen Amagliani, Paxton Wall, Tinley Renew, Gavin McGee, Kelsey McGee and Kinsey McGee and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 406 W.
