Margaret E. Reynolds, age 90, passed away Wednesday evening February 26, 2020 at her home in Iva, SC. She was born in Burlington, VT, October 23, 1929, daughter of the late Alfred and Eva (Dumas) Lamotte. On July 1,1972 she married Mr. George Reynolds Sr. Mr. Reynolds predeceased her July 8, 2004. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, and old western movies. There were two things that she took great pride in, one was her Indian Heritage, and the other was her Catholic faith.
Margaret is survived by her children Susan Anderson of Rutland, Barbara Smith and her husband Stephen of Lake Wales, FL, Daniel Anderson of Burlington, Mary Therrien and her husband Earl of St. Albans, Christine Hemenway and her husband Timothy of Swanton, Terry Dragon and her husband John , Robert Reynolds and his wife Brigitte all of Highgate, Margaret Reynolds and her fiancé James Corwell of Iva, SC, Brian Reynolds and his wife Kimberly of Enosburgh, 33 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Margaret also leaves her sisters Irene Hossman, Loraine Burnell, Sandra Martell, Gloria Lamotte, Nancy Stanley and Patricia Savage. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Reynolds and her son George Reynolds Jr, sisters Elizabeth Bailey and Katherine Houghton, and her brothers Alfred, Richard, Henry, John and Joseph Lamotte.
A Funeral of Christian Burial will be celebrated March 7, 2020, at 11:00 AM in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Chapel. Immediately following the funeral, there will be a Native American Celebration of Life Drumming Ceremony. Interment will be later this spring in the Reynolds family lot in Greenwood Cemetery.
