Marilyn Berstler 'Bobbi' Walker

Marilyn Barbara “Bobbi” Berstler Walker, 84, of Abbeville, SC, wife of the late Larry Walker, died Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Ashley Square in Greenwood, SC. She was born in Bound Brook, NJ to the late Frank and Catherine McCaffrey Berstler.

Bobbi retired after 21 years of devoted service from the former Capsugel plant (now Lonza) in Greenwood, SC. Her greatest pride came from her role as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Bobbi devoted her life to her family, fostering love, guidance and encouragement throughout their lives.

A dedicated member of Ebenezer Church of Abbeville, she poured her heart into her church community, offering her time and talents to support its mission. It was at her church that she found friendship, purpose and a heart of service to others. Additionally, Bobbi volunteered at the Hospice Store in Abbeville, SC where her work exemplified her compassionate nature and her desire to give back to those in need.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and ten sisters; her son-in-law, Phil Krueger; and her beloved fur baby, Loulou.

Bobbi is survived by her children, Henry Duane ‘Butch’ Hayes (Tobi) of Abbeville, SC, Dawn Krueger of Buckhead Ridge, FL, Guy Leffler (Vera) of Hillsboro, NJ, Scott A. Hayes (Eva) of Abbeville, SC and Kimberly Lewis (Robert) of Liberty, SC; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 11:00AM – 12:00PM, Friday, March 28, 2025, at Ebenezer Church of Abbeville, 2470 Old Abbeville Highway, Abbeville, SC. Funeral services will begin at 12:30PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Mike Evans and Mr. Ronnie Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
