Marsha Powell Grubb, 70, of Abbeville, SC, formerly of Dallas, TX, wife of Henry Grubb, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021, at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC. She was born in Sanger, TX, to the late Ben Bentley and Judith Ramsey Hughes, and reared by her dear grandparents, Horace and Hazel Ramsey.
Marsha, currently employed as a medical transcriptionist, was dedicated to Dr. Paul Pin and his practice in Dallas, TX for over 25 years. Music brought her much happiness; she enjoyed listening to Hall & Oates and George Strait, with her favorite being Gerald (Jay) Ramsey, her uncle, a talented songwriter and musician. Family was most important to Marsha – her grandchildren were the lights of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Henry James; a brother, Robert Downs; and an aunt, Rebekah Ramsey Nettik.
Marsha is survived by her husband of 40 years, Henry; daughters, Kristi Sean Gregory (Shannon) of Argyle, TX, and Robin West of Dallas, TX; a brother, Michael Downs (Treva) of Ft. Worth, TX; her grandchildren, Noah and Ben; and her beloved cat, Roki.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation for the attentive care and compassion shown to their mother by Kristi and Chip Rush and family.
A service to celebrate Marsha’s life will be announced at a later date.
