Martha Rogers Ferguson, 65, wife of the late Albert “Pat” Ferguson, of Abbeville, SC, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at The Renaissance in Due West. She was born in Oconee County, the daughter of the late Sam Rogers and Jennie Waldrop Tyner and Eugene Tyner.
Mrs. Ferguson was employed by Mohawk Industries for many years. Reading and sewing were some of her favorite pastimes. She immensely enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; they were the lights of her life. During her time at The Renaissance, Mrs. Ferguson became friends with fellow residents, the staff and administration.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Tyner.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Ferguson (Jenny), James Ferguson (Nicole) and Joseph “Joey” Ferguson, all of Abbeville; her sister, Mary Kydd (Steve), of High Point, NC; her brother, Aaron Tyner (Rene), of Townville; a special aunt and caregiver, Alice McAlister, of Walhalla; and her grandchildren, Brennan, Caslyn, Tristan, Dakota, Ali, and Hayden.
The family will receive friends 2:00PM – 3:00PM Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Little Mountain Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM in the church with Rev. Martin DeJong officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
