Mary Lee Cannon

Mary Lee Cannon, 78, of Abbeville, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the home of her chosen family, Tammy and Don Moriarty. She was born in Abbeville to the late George Cannon and Hattie Lee Kay Cannon.

A graduate of Abbeville High School, class of 1965, Mary dedicated 25 years of her life to the Oxford Shirt Plant retiring from Aramark Food Services. She was a cherished member of New Hope Baptist Church in Due West. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, shaping her values and enriching her connections with others.

Ms. Cannon is survived by her family, Tammy and Don Moriarty and their children, Jamie Butler, Kandy All, Lacy Bryant and grandchildren, Regan Butler, Kane Butler, Chloe Mobley, Matthew Snipes, Austin All, Charlie Duncan, Kadon Harrison, Layne Harrison, Jamie Bryant, Cannon Bryant and Rushton Bryant. She is also survived by her cousins that were by her side, Glennis Cannon, BJ and Jimmy Cannon and Brenda and Earl Cannon; and her forever friend, Sarah Ellen Stevens.

The family will receive friends 3:00PM – 4:00PM, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 4:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.
