Mary Uldrick Stone

Mary Uldrick Stone, 87, of Due West, wife of the late William Albert Stone, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. She was born in Abbeville to the late Preston and Nell Sanders Uldrick. Mrs. Stone retired from the Huggins Garment Company and after many years retired from the Erskine College Dining Hall with Aramark Food Services. She attended New Hope Baptist Church in Due West. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William A. Uldrick and Richard Uldrick; and a niece Lynn Parker. Surviving Mrs. Stone are four nieces, Debbie Uldrick, Debbie Wilson, Peggy Pendley and Kathy Busby; six nephews, Ricky Uldrick, Danny Uldrick, Stewart Uldrick, Mahlon Stone, Jr., Tony Stone and Mike Stone; two great-nieces; Chrystal Vickery and Amy Underwood; two great-nephews, Jamie and Cody Stone; three sister-in-laws, Martha Uldrick, Elsie Uldrick and Pauline Stone; a brother-in-law, Gordon Stone and his wife Shelby; her aunt and best friend, Lillian Gordon. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Harris Funeral Home Chapel, 302 N. Main St. Abbeville, SC with the Rev. Roscoe Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to New Hope Baptist Church, 4226 Hwy. 184W, Due West, SC 29639.
