Mary Henderson Tiller

Mary Henderson Tiller, 90, of Abbeville, wife of the late Howard W. Tiller, Sr., died peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. She was born in Laurens County to the late Thomas F. and Mary Going Henderson. After many years of service she retired from the Abbeville-Milliken Plant. She was a caregiver for several years and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Eugene "Genieboy" Tiller and Robert Walker "Bobby" Tiller. Surviving Mrs. Tiller are her two sons, Howard W. "Chunky" Tiller, Jr and his wife Ann and Joseph Allen "Joe" Tiller all of Abbeville; two brothers, Jack M. Henderson and Charles E. Henderson; two sisters, Frances Carpenter and Betty Stewart; three grandchildren, Andy Tiller, Jeanie Tiller (Dean) and Jason Sutherland; a great-granddaughter, Marysa McCollum and a host of extended family and friends. Graveside services will be 11:00AM Monday, September 15, 2014 in Long Cane Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Wilson officiating.
