Mary Frances 'Frankie' Bell Watson, 86, formerly of Belton, wife of the late J. B. Watson, died Thursday, March 06, 2014 at her residence in Abbeville. She was born in Donalds, SC to the late John M. & Mary Ellie Singleton Bell. Mrs. Watson attended Lander University and retired from Monsanto after 23 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Belton, SC. After the early death of her husband she dedicated herself to rearing her two daughters, Patsy and Carol. She enjoyed working with her flowers, reading, feeding the birds, and spending time with her cats. Mrs. Watson was known not only for being a wonderful mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, she was a talented seamstress. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Dallas, Lee and Marion. Surviving Mrs. Watson are her two daughters, Patsy W. Ashley and her husband Michael and Carol W. Aubrey all of Abbeville; a sister, Nancy Watson of Donalds; three grandchildren, Dana Williams (Chuck), Daniel Ashley and Craig Aubrey (Carly); five great-granddaughters, Taylor, Gracyn, Samantha, Mary Ashley and Scarlett; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the Greenville Presbyterian Church Social Hall. Graveside services will be 3:00PM on Saturday in the church cemetery. The family is at the home in Abbeville.
