Megan Montana Boswell, 21, of Greenwood, South Carolina, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at her home. She was born in Oconee County to Angela Laye Boswell and the late Timothy Charles “Chuck” Boswell.
In North Carolina, Megan studied for her educational training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. After receiving this certification, time spent with patients was rewarding to her. Megan enjoyed listening to music; she was always happy on her trips to the beach. Being with friends, just “hanging out,” was a favorite pastime.
In addition to her father, Chuck, Megan was preceded in death by her grandfather, Rev. Curtis Boswell and two uncles, James Gary Richey and Ralph Michael Richey.
She is survived by her mother, Angie, of Greenwood; two sisters, Lindsey Ek of Greenwood and Jennifer Hall (Darren) of Ninety Six; three brothers, Jason Boswell, Dustin Butler and Jim West Boswell (Drew), all of Greenwood; her grandmothers, Rollyn Smith and Margaret Boswell; aunts, Tami Richey and Rev. Amy Laye, both of Greenwood; uncles, Tim Richey (Linda) of Iva and Eddie Laye (Samantha) of Greenwood; and five nieces.
The family will receive friends 2:00PM – 3:00PM, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Amy Laye officiating.
The family is at the home of Megan’s aunt, Tami Richey.
