Millie Harper, 74, of Abbeville, wife of George G. Harper, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. She was born in Dillion, SC to the late Joseph D. and Bessie Wallace Watts. Mrs. Harper was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church where she was active with the women of the church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Harper was retired from Belk Simpson where she was a beauty consultant for Elizabeth Arden. Surviving Mrs. Harper is her husband of 50 years of the home; a daughter, Pam Craft of Abbeville; two sons, Chip Elliott of Easley, SC and Derek Harper and his wife Kelly of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, J. Wade Watts of Beauford, SC; a sister, Vera Lovett of Durham, NC; five grandchildren, Lindsay Elliott, Brittany Dockery, Kaitlin Elliott, Jacob Harper and Kamryn Harper; and one great-grandson, Austin Dockery. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Lebanon Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Arnold Johnson and Rev. Dan Smyth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
