Milton William "Milt" Becker

Milton “Milt” William Becker, 70, husband of Kathy Petersen Becker, of Anderson, SC died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center; his family was with him. He was born in Chicago, IL to the late Harold and Evelyn Hanich Becker.

Milt served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University and later his CPCU Insurance Certification. Milt was employed with Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance for 33 years and retired as a vice president of the company. After retirement, he became proficient in woodworking and landscaping. Milt also spent happy hours playing golf and tennis and going fishing. He was a member of the Lutheran Church by the Lake.

In addition to his parents, Milt was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Becker.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy, of the home; a son, Milt Becker, Jr. (Adriana), of Cumming, GA; two daughters, Kim Becker, of Anderson and Erika Curry (Alan), of Franklin, TN; two brothers, Don Becker (Sandy), of Minden, NE and Wes Becker (Laurie) of Chicago, IL; and seven grandchildren, Grace, Luke, Samantha, Tori, Whitney, Alexander and Charlotte.

A Celebration of Life Service for Milt will be 11:30AM, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Lutheran Church by the Lake with Rev. Jim Kinsler officiating. Inurnment will take place in the church columbarium.
