Mitch Christopher

Mitchell Keith Christopher, 73, of Greenwood, husband of Kimberly Blanchett Christopher, died Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood. He was born in Greenwood to the late Harry Reuel and Mildred Crawford Christopher.

Mitch began his career with Greenwood Mills. Following this, he served with the City of Abbeville Police Department for 12 years, and later, continued his commitment to public service with the City of Due West Police Department for 3 years. 

In addition to his parents, Mitch was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Christopher and his mother-in-law, Shirley Blanchett.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kimberly, of the home; children, Brian Christopher (Kim), Kimberly Christopher (Adam), Neil Ferguson (Hayley), Jason Blanchett (Savannah) and Laken Harris (Marcus); brother, Chris Christopher; grandchildren, Austin Christopher, Leah Christopher, Anna Smith, Gage Wells, Kira Wells, Faylynn Lawless, Westan Lawless, Logan Blanchett, Helena Spearman, Anakin Spearman, Kennedy Ferguson, Konnor Ferguson, and Kensley Ferguson; special nieces, Brittany Balentine (Ryan) and Kayla Rhodes (Cody); and numerous extended family and friends.

A service to celebrate Mitch’s life will be 3:00PM, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel with Mr. Nick Moore officiating.

The family is at the home of Brian and Kim Christopher, 202 Pineview St., Abbeville, SC 29620.
