Molly Billye Ferguson

Molly "Billye" J. Ferguson, 76, of Abbeville, died Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Abbeville Nursing Home. She was born in Abbeville County to the late John P. and Maggie Nance Ferguson. Ms. Ferguson was a graduate of Antreville High School and devoted member of Bells United Methodist Church. She served as the church treasurer for many years. Ms. Ferguson was a member of the Lily Garden Club in Antreville, and a charter member of the John Francis Gray Chapter #219 O.E.S. where she served as Past Deputy to the Grand Marshall and as Treasurer; as well as, other offices. She retired as Head Teller at First Citizens Bank in Calhoun Falls after many years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Wallace Ferguson and his wife Dorothy and Curtis Carroll Ferguson; two sisters, Ellen Ferguson Eakin and her husband Ollie, and Margaret Ferguson; and sister-in-law, June Price Ferguson. Surviving Ms. Ferguson are two brothers, Sam A. Ferguson and his wife Elizabeth and Herbert H. Ferguson and sister-in-law, Louise Truxal Ferguson all of Abbeville; ten nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the Bells United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Ferguson, 454 Diamond Mine Rd., Abbeville, SC.
